News/Updates at Kodivaro Siberians!
December 12, 2021 - Shiva, Zorro, and I had a fantastic weekend at the North Texas BarnHunt trial in McKinney, TX! It was both dogs' first time trying Barn Hunt, and they had a blast.
On Saturday, Zorro passed his Instinct test for his RATI title. I can tell he's going to have a great time with the sport in the future.
On Sunday, Shiva attempted the Instinct test too (we failed, but only due to handler error with me calling an alert on the wrong tube) and then went on to earn her first Q toward her RATN from the Novice class. She also earned a 2nd place in her class with a time of 0:45:06! To top it all off, the club was offering Canine Good Citizen tests in the afternoon, and Shiva took and passed the test after just a few minutes of practice to earn her CGC title!

November 26, 2021 - The dogs and I spent our Black Friday morning walking a 5k for the AKC Humane Fund's first annual Turkey Trot. What fun, and for a good cause too!
November 21, 2021 - The dogs and I had a very fun weekend in Chiskasha, OK! Zorro went WD (only male) and BOW from the 6-9 Puppy class for his first AKC point! He also earned another point toward his POA, leaving him at 4/10 currently.
Shiva took Reserve to her lovely friend Nyx (BSS AKC Major Ptd Zuska's Interstellar Exploration BCAT DS TKN), owned by Karli Watson. These two girls loved to play together at shows as youngsters and hadn't seen each other in almost 2 years, but as soon as we finished in the ring they immediately started playing and goofing around like no time had passed. Always a good day to show when you can do it with friends, and I think the dogs agree! 😊

October 24, 2021 - Very nice day at the Heart of Oklahoma KC shows in Shawnee, OK!
Zorro finished his very last baby puppy show with a 4-6 Working Group 2! (He'll be 6 months on Tuesday - how is he this old already?!) That should leave him with 3 POA points total so far.
Shiva went WB/BOB/BOBOH (our competition was absent, so 5 NOHS points but 0 CH points again. 😭) No love in either group today, but she showed well and we had a relaxing, laid-back show just 45 minutes from home, so that's always a victory in my book. 😊

October 10, 2021 - He did it again! Day 2 of the Oklahoma American Eskimo Dog Club shows and Zorro was awarded his 2nd UKC Best Puppy In Show award under judge Stan Matsumoto! All told, he came home with 4x BPBOB and 2x BPIS!
A huge thank-you to this weekend's judges for recognizing the qualities I love about this boy. (I wish I could take credit for him, but that all belongs to his breeder/co-owner Alicia Renea Rys!)

October 9, 2021 - Fantastic first day at the Oklahoma American Eskimo Dog Club UKC shows in Norman, OK! Zorro was entered in 3-6 Novice Puppy, and he went BEST PUPPY IN SHOW in Show #1 over a large and lovely group of pups! Thank you to Judge Lori Sargent for recognizing him!
He also made the cut in BIS for Show 2, but wasn't the judge's choice that time.
(Thank you to C.C. Evans and Laura Bowman for helping me wrangle him into a good stack for the photo - 8 hours of shows and he was DONE behaving for his mom! 🤣)

September 18, 2021 - Today I traveled to Amarillo, TX and back to attend my first AKC show in over 2 years. It went great!
Zorro won a 4-6 Beginner Puppy Group 1st under Judge Linda Clark his very first time in the AKC ring, out of a lineup of 3 gorgeous pups. He free-stacked like a champ, and I barely had to touch him at all. He now has 2/10 POA points. Hopefully a sign of things to come!
And, not to be forgotten, Shiva the Diva showed like a rock star too! In her first AKC show since puppyhood, she went WB/BOS/OHBOB from the Bred By class under Judge Del Richards! The only downside is that it didn't earn her any points, since the other 4 class entries were all absentees. (We didn't stay for OH groups this time, as I had to get back home and it's 5 hours one way.)
Regardless, I'm very happy with how both are maturing, and I had photos taken which I'll post as soon as I purchase them from the photog. We'll try our luck again next month - fingers crossed Shiva will earn that first AKC point to get her started!

September 7, 2021 - Some very exciting news for Kodi, Shiva, and Zorro. I suspected, but just confirmed, that they are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Siberians worldwide to earn the new Triple Threat (T3) title from Do More With Your Dog! 🎉🥇🥈🥉🎉

August 29, 2021 - The dogs have had a busy week! Between the 3 of them, they earned a total of 8 new titles between Thursday and Sunday. Zorro earned his VHMP, VHMA, 2K9, and T3 titles, while Kodi and Shiva each earned their VHMA and T3 titles. (The T3 title will officially launch on September 1, 2021, which will make them some of the first Siberians worldwide to earn it!)
I am so proud of this crew! They are always willing to try something new. 🥰

July 31, 2021 - Team Kodivaro had an awesome weekend at the Twister City Kennel Club (TCKC) UKC shows in Kansas! I brought all 3 dogs along on Friday and Saturday (we did not show Sunday), and the results were as follows:
Zorro: No wins in the puppy match on Day 1 (not entered Day 2), but got to tag along both days, play show-dog, and let his big "siblings" show him the ropes.
Shiva: BOB x4, Northern Group 3rd x1, 2nd x1, 1st x2, **NEW UKC CHAMPION**
Kodi: Altered BOB x4, ALTERED RESERVE BEST IN SHOW x1, ALTERED BEST IN SHOW x1!!!
That makes 2/5 legs toward his ALGCH!
I'm so proud of both of them! Kodi showed like an old pro, and even with Shiva totally out of coat, she still finished her Championship in style. I'm so happy with how she's maturing!

July 29, 2021 - Little Zorro is getting up to some big things. Pending approval from AKC and DMWYD, he earned 3 new performance titles today: TKN, NTD, and CCF1. These are his 3rd-5th performance titles, all at just 13 weeks old!
His name is now Rys N Hy Bold Renegade At Kodivaro TKN NTD SSH SOR CCF1!

July 13, 2021 - Zorro had a fantastic day yesterday! At just 11 weeks old, he completed his first 2 performance titles - the SSH (Summer Scavenger Hunt) and SOR (Summer of Ruff) from DMWYD!
He's only been here a week, but already he's proving how fun he is going to be to train and show.
Not about to be outdone by her pint-sized pal, Shiva decided to earn herself 2 new titles as well! She also completed the SSH and SOR - her 54th and 55th titles!

July 3, 2021 - Our newest pack member made it home safely! Rys N Hy Bold Renegade At Kodivaro, aka "Zorro," made the trip from Missouri to Oklahoma and is settling in well. Thank you to his breeder/co-owner Alicia Rys for trusting me with this precious boy. I have big plans for him once he grows up a little more! Welcome to the family, Zorro!

May 2, 2021 - Kodi and Shiva each earned a new title today: the newest special event title from Do More With Your Dog, 2K9! As the name implies, the 2K9 is earned by walking a 2k (or 1.24 miles) together with your dog. These two love their walks (and they also love their naps afterward!)
